The pack follows the rhythm of the elders & the head of the command that imposes the spirit of mutual help, not leaving anyone behind. Yes, it can be interpreted in other ways too. With the developing nature of nearly everything in this century, it is very easy to adapt to changes and move forward with it. Everyone wants to create their path and bring change. However, not all people get successful. Because many people lack a sense of understanding the benefits of the old system and the conventional way of working. Those who understand this and learn, adapt, teach, and apply them to their day to day life can only be a leader of the team who actually does something productive.
Translators can work as a free-lancer or in any company, they still require guidance or a path to follow, in which they learn and imply their new creative ideas as well. Well, this picture is a wonderful description of leadership, collaboration, and teamwork. As in this picture, the translators can follow the ideas or their work could reflect some of the old ideas. They could learn many things from the old service providers. They could lead the path for others. Then comes the strongest members who have been holding up the things so far and are very potent and are best at their work. Then there are other members and then again the strongest member with, at last, the leader. The leader looks after all of them and ensuring the best for them. He ensures that the old ideas or works do not get lost with the changing time as well as using the talent and work of the strongest people in keeping safe the other members from back and front.
Same is with the translators and their network. The translator could learn for the old translators and follow their way with getting inspired and taking help of current translators who are excellent at their jobs and teaching the same to his team. Although there are many companies still translators are a part of one community and only they can help in letting it grow more and more with the help of each other. They all have to be on the same page to grow as a whole, as one community. Moreover, at an individual level, the company functions in the same way. The leader follows the path and guidelines of the previous leaders and makes use of the best people in its company to create the best possible opportunities for all the other members.
This picture shows the number of qualities. Leadership, vulnerability, hierarchy, survival, resilience, coping mechanisms, and collective action. All in one. Leadership is not about being the most visible, the loudest, or even the highest earner. Leadership is truly about leading from behind. Real leaders are the types who want to share their success rather than bask in the glory, and those who when things go wrong, take ownership and take the fall to ensure their team is taken care of. As I always like to say, “Teamwork makes the dream work”.
