This summer internship program 2021 started on June 27th, 2021 with over 100 interns. The main focus of this internship is teamwork and project management in linguist and non-linguist fields. This internship was held through social media platforms and we had a lot of online interactions with our, mentor (Mr. Ravi Kumar), group leader, and other interns through the WhatsApp groups, Facebook group, zoom meeting, and YouTube. In this internship, we were able to connect with other interns across the world through online platforms. Also, our first session was to introduce ourselves, so that we can connect with each-others and I think this was an amazing step towards this internship. Mr. Ravi Kumar, our mentor, founder of Modlingua covered major 4 topics i.e. social media & digital marketing, citizen journalism, artificial intelligence and natural learning process, and so on. We were asked to research these various topics and submit our assignment after the webinar by Mr. Ravi Kumar, the guest speaker, our presenters, and group leaders. Also, we had our groups on WhatsApp i.e. creative team and digital marketing team in which we have discussed the upcoming webinars.

We had lots of assignments and tasks given in this internship:

• I have watched, commented, and shared videos on various topics i.e. the importance of quality control in translation processes and the use of various quality standards in translation processes and so many. And I have also shared every video, article I saw & read to my friend and known ones. And I explained to them and asked them to subscribe to our YouTube channel and connect with us through our WhatsApp broadcast list, Facebook, and telegram.
• Our first task was an analysis of errors in our content writing. This task distinguish our own mistakes while writing our brief profile, career goals, and any articles and Mr. Ravi Kumar introduced us to Modlingua Rubric and Grammarly. And with this, we can make our articles effective and impactful without any grammatical mistakes. So for improving my content writing abilities, I explore more on the Modlingua rubric and Grammarly at the Modlingua website. And Grammarly helped me in increasing process efficiency by more than 50% in terms of time and ease of doing quality control and for better understanding of these errors like sentences patterns, omission, submission, spelling, punctuations, articles, choice of words and rectify this.
• After then we all have attended and shared our inaugural and orientation sessions on how to launch our languages career and various aspects of technology by Dr. Raman k. Jha, Vice-Chancellor, Amity University, Ranchi. In this webinar, I have learned so many things such as how languages and technology are important, what are additional skills required & how they help all the students in making themselves smarter, what are the main new dimensions in a language career, what are the gaps between educational courses and industry needs and discuss the need for technology with the languages.
• Our next webinar was on social media and leveraging network and our Mentor Mr. Ravi Kumar tried to give us a brief introduction about it and Mr. Amit Nagpal, president, Bloggers Alliance, who enlighten us further on this topic. During this webinar, I get to know many aspects of this topic such as how to make new customers, elements of social media marketing & online marketing, how to become a social media influencer, pros, and cons of online platforms, and certain strategies which are followed to reaching out the peoples and promoting our business, impact on the youth of social media, how can we engage on social media, how to increase our network on various platforms. This webinar made me more active on social media i.e. Facebook, Twitter, telegram.
• Our next assignment was on citizen journalism, firstly we have to research deeply about this topic and then explain the relevance of citizen journalism and also we have to make a video report on current affairs or any burning issues. During the research, I got to know so many new things about citizen journalism, its aims, roles, responsibilities, qualities, their pros & cons, and how important this kind of journalism is in today’s times.
• Our next assignment was on IT and Translation. I learned about how technology plays an important role in our day-to-day lives, how IT helps the translators & language professionals, through IT we can enhance our work qualities and there are so many tools which we can use in our linguist fields.
• Our next webinar on AI, NLP, and its importance in language and translation by Mr. Deep Saxena, founder of deepminds technologies, enlighten us further on this topic. In this webinar I learned about AI, important elements of AI, about programming languages and how it helps in the translation process, how many types of AI, uses of AI, NLP & it’s used in translation, how AI works and through Artificial intelligence, deep learning, machine learning, and natural language processing rapidly effected on translators lives directly.
• In the last, we have to prepare a final report on this summer internship what all we did & what we have learned in the course and applied in our personal and professional lives. In my opinion, each task required us the application knowledge gained in the previous task. In this program, Mr. Ravi Kumar and the team of Modlingua facilitated us various learning process. With this internship, I have learned about other skills like marketing, self-branding, how to promote any brand, making new clients, social media, and how does its works?

Since Modlingua provided me such a great opportunity to not only concentrate on linguist aspects but also the other aspects as well. And I am thankful to Mr. Ravi Kumar for offering such a fruitful program which has helped me a lot to enhance my personality as an employee and to rectify myself in the professional fields but also in my personal life as well. My internship program with Modlingua has been fruitful in terms of writing assignments, making videos, making presentations, and webinars. I have learned so many things which I was unaware of before. Working with this organization I have known my ability and capacity, I think enrolling with this company as an intern is a great idea, I believe that it gave me a boost and enhance my capabilities and overall my personality.
