From my experience at summer internship program, it functions on the ethics of “The art of teaching is the art of assisting discovery.” It was my first and memorable internship experience where we covered the topics of artificial intelligence, translation as an Art and a Skill, The relevance of IT and its use in Translation, culture, language, The Relevance of Citizen Journalism and The importance of Social Media and Leveraging networks. The internship duration was 3 months. Dr. Ravi Kumar guided and enthusiastically explained us how to use the Modlingua platform, create new assignments, explore notice board, review old intern profiles, and contribute to the academic platform and user registration process. He introduced us many extended social media Modlingua networking sites in YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Telegram. On a regular basis, they hold events, seminars, and conferences on a variety of topics relating to social media, cultural studies, project management and translation, Hosting lecture sessions by reputed guest speakers. As a registration process, a form is to be filled along with a Curriculum Vitae and Career Goals. Regular enquiry was through WhatsApp and the webinars and sessions were delivered through Zoom. My overall internship experience was that I have enhanced my understanding and knowledge of the topics, Interpersonal Communication and collaboration between the interns, ability to speak and write professionally, Critical Thinking, Research and Analysis on the given assignments, Initiative as a speaker in a seminar, introducing and motivating Modlingua to my friends, Adaptability and Time Management, Apply the theory in future, Getting a feel for the work environment, Improve CV, Build networks and Boost confidence. Other social sites of Modlingua gave me an idea on the professional exposure among the group of highly qualified scholars. I was looking for an internship program and that is when Dr. Rajat Ghosh was my university professor recommended me to apply for Modlingua Internship Programme. My goals were to be consistent, punctual and enthusiastic to learn extended information. For this, I learned about the organization, I prepared my work schedules and allotted time for Modlingua, Joined the company culture where I got an exposure with the professionals, United and interacted with co-interns, set personal goals and Understood the aims and expectations of the Programme.

My contribution to the organization was recommending Modlingua to my friends and family relatives. I have shared the website and the benefits in my WhatsApp and Instagram status. Many enquired me about this and said that they would love to be a part of the next year internship program. I have liked, commented and subscribed to all the videos in YouTube. Explaining the main goals of this internship is to expose an intern to a specific industry, job, or profession. While an intern may have an idea of what a job entails, he or she will not know if it is what they expected, if they have the necessary skills and training, and if it is something they enjoy until they actually do it. One can learn how to use what they learned throughout their internship to their future jobs. Furthermore, it is a great learning curve for young grads and students who want to meet new people and make professional contacts.

For my career development growth, this internship has helped me to acquire new talents and abilities that will help me grow as a young professional and boost my résumé. The more experience I get, the better I'll be able to position myself for career success. Internships are advantageous since they aid in the development of professional skills, the strengthening of personal character, and the opening of more doors to opportunities. I can provide myself the greatest range of opportunities while looking for and applying for jobs after graduation by investing time in internships. Interns get greater understanding about teaching and develop or improve the necessary attitudes, abilities, and values connected with effective work performance through the internship program. Internships assist in the modification of knowledge and skills. As an English Language student, a translation internship is an excellent way to improve communication abilities. I will get the opportunity to improve my language abilities as well as learn how to deal with various professional scenarios.

I can apply my soft skills such as Communication, Positivity, Responsibility, Adaptability, Self-discipline, Work Ethics, Problem Solving, Time Management, Adaptability and Teamwork in my future workplace. During the Covid situation, as a Master degree student, an online internship gave me a proactive opportunity to manage along with my online classes otherwise I had to wait for a suitable free time to devote to the internship. I also realize that one of the major characteristics that distinguish an exceptional employee is being proactive and actively searching out favorable possibilities. So I decided to take advantage of the circumstance by looking for online job experience to help me improve my professional profile.
