SUMMER INTERNSHIP AT MODLINGUA AND ITS USESES IN CARRER:-

My name is Preeti Chaudhary and I am from Delhi I am presently a student of masters in arts from Delhi University. Also, I am pursuing a PGDT diploma from Kendriya Hindi Sansthan Delhi. Now I completed my Summer internship at MODLINGUA. A Summer internship program for a translate at Modlingua and initiative by our teacher and guide mister Ravi Kumar which is trained around lots of interns every year. This is an online program where the interns were at their own place can follow the training without any problem. There are various possible means to stay connected with our mentor as well as our team of interns through WhatsApp, YouTube, and Facebook respectively. The intern can interact share their ideas and kill clear their queries through an online meeting.

In this program the interns are given a chance to present themselves on the platform to boost their confidence at the last hour teacher is always there to help us there are ample amount of videos lectures on YouTube and the article on Modlingua for website related to translation also their lives Asian to guide us on various aspects of translation through MODLINGUA and also lectures by different aspects in the field of translation there were different assignments given at the particular interval or to test that we have learned and also to correct the mistakes. Dera guidelines to help us also every assignment there are YouTube lectures uploaded which guide us to complete the assignment easy. I remember that our first assignment was about the analysis of errors in the content namely first our profile photo our brief profile and the third one is carrier go to analyze these mistakes by comparing the contract we have sent to the contract that was published and write both the version of two different sections and thereafter we have to calculate the total time that was taken due to silly mistakes which would be corrected easily through the application such as Grammarly which was later explained by our mentor through Modlingua. Other than a continuation there were five questions given as an assignment on that we can choose one or more question but one question was compulsory while writing the answer we have to follow the Modlingua. while writing the answers we have to follow the Modlingua Rubric of error control, also it was mandatory to use Grammarly for any AI tools and to proofread the assignment. The following assignment was an extension of the first assignment where one was supposed to write an analytical report ( according to the choice of your questions) of about 1500-2000 words. This work enhances the content writing and reviewing skills. It also enabled a stone in calculating all the steps and tools learned throughout our session with Mr.Ravi Kumar, in our writing. The publication of the Modlingua rubric was of immense help when it comes to checking errors during content writing.

For a translator, it does not simply suffice to know one single domain. A translator must be well versed with lots of other skills as well, like transcription. Mr. Ravi Kumar's instructional videos provide to be a challenge for some as it involves creating foreign language subtitles for English/Hindi audio. This task gives us a brief introduction to the difficulties of the skill of transcription and subtitling. I speech rendered by the speaker is not always cohesive. Sometimes, there is incoherent Idea smart by incomplete sentences, Bata transcriber has no option other than transferring the speakers' words with minimal invention or any attempt to shadow in any manner.
The topic of social media marketing is wide and to be able to talk about it all in one go is impossible. Thus, our mentor Mr. Ravi Kumar tried to give as brief an introduction as possible, followed by a guest lecture who enlightened us further on this topic. With the rapid growth in globalization, one may want to work abroad or have foreign clients but this is impossible without creating a certain rapport. Our assignment that followed this lecture, was to write a report on various topics, which helped in better understanding topics such as the importance of Google search, online marketing, translation, content writing, localization, etc. This internship program has irradiated many new experiences, have learned a lot from our teachers, friends, and various experts in this field. We also have improved our qualities and capacities. We have come to know the basics of the field of translation and interpretation, also have learned a little about how to use it as an occupation and how to choose the correct client for whom we are going to work, the ethics and rules that should be followed so that our work remains quite interesting and does not become a burden. This program has also introduced us to various opportunities in the field of translation and interpretation.
Earlier we have hardly any knowledge about this field but this internship, not only improve our knowledge about this field but has also enhanced to use of this field professionally. It was an awesome experience that has resulted in boosting confidence. It is not only helpful in interpretation and translation but also useful in every professional field.
There were several challenges because I had just finished the post-graduation I had several competitive exams so with the preparation for those exams I also had to complete the various assignment on time. This internship was extremely beneficial to me. I came to know many new things which became more fun and easy for me with the help of our teacher Mr.Ravi Kumar. Also, it had helped me in the management of time. At times I faced some challenges due to some network issues, or some other work but the internship was so interesting so I tried completing the task as soon as possible by all means. We do not have to travel anywhere but sitting at home we could attend classes and complete our work. There was no time condition, we could ask the queries on the social networking sites and then many of our friends were ready to answer the queries. Also, we can refer to Youtube lectures at any given point in time. This internship was amazing and I was less attentive to the program as I was busy with various other exams because there are many blogs on the Modlingua website which I could have read. But this was one of the best internship programs, also because I learned a lot from it sitting in one place and through the use of technology.
Various online applications and social networking sites were used in this internship program. Instructions and messages were conveyed through WhatsApp through broadcast, a Facebook group was created to interact with each other to become a part of the translation and interpretation group. The meetings were held through the zoom app which includes video conferencing we would attend the lecture sitting at any place and then ask for queries and questions.

This summer internship at Modlingua 2021, is an online portal, facilitated the learning process in many ways. It connected all of us across the world, without much pain and effort as we all were just one click away from each other. Without any doubt, expert advice from our mentor Mr. Ravi Kumar enriched our knowledge related to various domains and facilitated the acquaintance of these skills. The guest lectures were a cherry on the cake. These lectures not only help in understanding different perspectives of a single domain but also learn new things. Since Modlingua’s internship provided a great opportunity that focuses specifically on the agenda of ‘teamwork’, and also only individual responsibility, one has a good opportunity to excel in several domains. Modlingua has begun an initiative to train the students without any fees or favor; it is just organized to train the students, to make the students familiar with the field of translation and interpretation. It was not about learning the translation from one language to another but to learn other skills related to this field so that we can act professionally and also the skills which can be useful to us in every sphere. We have learned better writing skills because this can have a good impression on others if we do not do any or very few of the mistakes while sending something to the other person. Later the transcription was also taught to us, something very new to me and can be useful at any point of a given time. We have learned to subtitle in the YouTube lecture so that one can read and understand if not understanding through listening also. The concept of social media marketing was also introduced so we know the concepts and the basics of social media as well as marketing its importance and know how it could be beneficial to us.
My experience at Modlingua was amazing and illuminating. Working in a team helped me to understand my capacities and interests. We were majorly in contact with Mr. Ravi Kumar, the assignments so well structured demonstrate his efforts along with that of the Modlingua team. I believe that working at modeling gave me a boost and practical experience that enhanced my overall personality and psychological determination. I wanted to work in the corporate sector and as an intern at Modlingua was very helpful to enhance my translation and interpretation skills which are required in the corporate sector. Modlingua had given me the opportunities to take up such tasks that I did not even expect that I would do such things in my life.
I would always be grateful for life to Modlingua and to Mr. Ravi Kumar for offering me such an opportunity which has helped me to ameliorate on a professional as well as on a personal level. This internship was great.
